In Greek mythology Andromeda was chained to a rock by the sea and left to be ravaged by a sea monster, she was rescued by Perseus. After her death she was placed in the sky near to the constellations of her husband Perseus and her mother Cassiopeia. The name works for the fabric; on linens it is dark and the browns and violet blue reflect a night sky, on the evenweave it is softer more moonlit water in shade so reflecting both her mortal and eternal existence.
The closest DMC shades are not very close at all: Linen - 823/32, 535 (poor match), Evenweave - 30, 3042/3861 (poor match)
